Possible downgrading of pig farm status in Voronezh Oblast

During the inspection, veterinary specialists discovered violations of veterinary regulations. Based on these violations, the agency downgraded the farm's zoosanitary status to Compartment I. This decision was based on the presence of open spaces within the perimeter fences of the pig farm, which poses a risk of wild animal intrusion and violates biosecurity requirements . Previously, this farm was classified as Compartment IV, the highest level of biosecurity. There are 78 pig farms in the Voronezh Region, and in 2025, inspections were conducted at all of them. Most of the farms were confirmed as having biosecurity level IV, but this was the only case where the status was downgraded. The agency reminds business entities of the importance of adhering to veterinary regulations to ensure epizootic safety at both the farm and regional levels.
