In the Rostov region, with the help of FSIS "Mercury", 620 violations of veterinary rules were identified

Department officials make full use of the artificial intelligence model in FSIS Mercury, which, by analyzing electronic documents, is able to quickly identify violations in the circulation of livestock products.

So, for example, on March 25, 2024 , artificial intelligence models at the site of Plodoovoshtorg LLC ( Rostov region , Bataysk) identified the movement of products between business entities over an illogical period. IT was established that the authorized person canceled electronic veterinary accompanying documents (eVSD) for Meat products (220 kg) moved from an enterprise in the city of Rostov-on-Don for an illogical period of time, incomparable with the capabilities of the vehicle on which the products were transported . The time between registration and cancellation of eVSD was less than 3 minutes, whereas, according to Internet data, the distance between business entities can actually be covered in 32 minutes, excluding the time spent on loading and receiving products.

Thus, the above facts correspond to the indicator of the risk of violation of the mandatory requirements for federal state veterinary control (supervision) in the field of organizing the work of the procedure for processing veterinary accompanying documents in electronic form.

Based on the above facts, the Department on April 19, 2024, in agreement with the prosecutor’s office of the Rostov region, plans to conduct a control (supervisory) event with interaction with the controlled person.

In total, in the 1st quarter of 2024, 13 inspections were carried out based on risk indicators identified by artificial intelligence, and 16 warnings were issued.

Monitoring FSIS "Mercury" using artificial intelligence will reduce the risks of counterfeit and falsified food products entering the market, guarantee the biological safety of raw materials, as well as products made from them, and increase the Export attractiveness of Russian products and demand for them within the country.
