A robotic farm opened in the Nizhny Novgorod region

The opening of a new dairy complex in the Urensky municipal district was attended by the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin,Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Nikolay Denisov.
The construction of a robotic dairy complex for 1,052 head of cattle was carried out by Nikitino LLC. Investments in the project were carried out under the management of the Orgkhim holding. Investments amounted to 2.2 billion rubles. Part of the funds spent on the construction of the facility, the purchase of breeding animals and robotic milkers, will be reimbursed to the farm by the regional budget as part of the state program. The farm has digitalized and automated the processes of raw milk production and herd management.
Gleb Nikitin noted that the robotic complex will improve production efficiency by equipping it with the latest equipment and creating comfortable working conditions. In addition to livestock farming, the company is engaged in crop production activities. Its main types are the production of grains and legumes, and the cultivation of fodder crops.
“It’s impressive how technologically the interaction with animals is carried out. In addition, the implementation of the project made it possible to return into circulation more than 10 percent of the district's fallow agricultural land. 115 new jobs were created. This is a good incentive for the further development of the district,” said Gleb Nikitin.
The governor emphasized that the regional government will continue to support those involved in agriculture, create conditions for the emergence of such technically equipped complexes, attract serious investments in the development of livestock farming and the dairy industry in particular, and subsidize businesses interested in reviving agricultural production in the region. Nikolai Denisov
, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that in recent years, dairy farming in the region has shown a steady pace of production development. Over the past five years, milk production has increased by 14%, and support for the livestock industry has increased by 20%, and in 2024 it will amount to almost 1.8 billion rubles.
“The program for the construction and modernization of livestock farms is one of the most effective - enterprises are compensated for up to 50 percent of the costs incurred for the construction of such facilities, as well as for the purchase of robotic equipment. This year, according to the program, it is planned to put into operation 17 livestock breeding facilities,” said Nikolai Denisov.
General Director of Nikitino LLC Irina Pravdina thanked the governor, the regional Ministry of Agriculture and the municipal administration for their support in implementing the project.
