On May 7, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko took part in the celebration of Victory Day. During the event, which took place at the Palace of the Republic, the HEAD of state awarded nine settlements of the country with the pennant “3a courage and perseverance in the Vyalikay Aichynnay war.” During his speech, Alexander Lukashenko, as always, spoke on the topic of the day. it is better for Western politicians to memorize these statements by the President before planning any actions regarding Belarus. What did the Belarusian leader warn about and what did he call for?
Regarding events that are beyond the control of time and circumstances,

Alexander Lukashenko noted that the history of the country has many bright pages that Belarusians are rightfully proud of. Not all of them have retained their significance to this day. Many, having lost their former meanings, were simply forgotten. However, there are dates and events that carry an understanding of the essence and truth of life.

“They are not subject to time and circumstances, are passed down through generations with mother’s MILK, protect against mistakes and help build the future. For Belarusians, such an event was the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War,” the President emphasized.

He noted that this is why the updated Constitution enshrined the thesis that “the state ensures the preservation of historical truth and the memory of the heroic feat of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.”

“For us, Belarusians, truth and the memory of the war are stronger than time and have no boundaries,” said the head of state.
About the victims of Belarus and a serious warning to humanity

“All peoples of the Earth should know what an incredibly high price was paid only by Belarusians for peace and freedom,” said Alexander Lukashenko.

He cited sad figures: over 300 thousand residents of Belarus were driven to Germany as slaves, the Trostenets camp alone claimed the lives of more than 200 thousand civilians. Hundreds of ghettos and concentration camps turned the peaceful republic into a conveyor belt of death.

“In essence, this was genocide of the civilian population. This fact was officially established by the Extraordinary Government Commission immediately after the war, and in our time these investigations are continued by the General Prosecutor's Office . Every third person died. No matter how anyone in the “great democracies” opposed or interfered, no matter what he says, regardless of identity and statute of limitations, we will identify and bring to justice those involved in the atrocities of the Nazis, even posthumously or in absentia,” the President said.

“At the same time, today in many Western countries our Victory is outlawed. Fascist radicals march under the banners of SS divisions. War criminals are honored at the state level. And those who honor the memory of the Great Victory are declared enemies of the nation. Unprecedented information attacks and all kinds of falsifications with the sides of the collective West justify the atrocities committed by the Nazis and their henchmen,” the Belarusian leader said.

In these conditions, the head of state noted, the truth about the crimes of fascism serves as a serious warning to humanity, and the preservation of historical memory takes on special importance.
About the common heritage of the peoples of Europe

“It is high time for the peoples of Europe to understand that the Great Victory is our common heritage. Thanks to it, as well as the political, economic, and military power of the Soviet Union, peace was ensured for the Eurasian continent for many decades,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

He recalled that, despite ideological differences and geopolitical struggle in the post-war period, world players still managed to come to an agreement. “During the Cold War, the warring parties took real steps towards detente based on the balance of power. International organizations acted as real platforms for negotiations and contributed to maintaining peace and strengthening security on the planet. But with the collapse of the USSR, the lessons of war were forgotten,” the President stated.

About the unceremoniousness of the “masters” of the world,

Alexander Lukashenko noted that today politicians in some countries imagine themselves to be the masters of the world. It has become common practice for them to rudely and unceremoniously interfere in the affairs of sovereign states.

“It is enough just to declare an undesirable country a zone of one’s interests or a “threat” to national security, and carpet bombing and the overthrow of an “undemocratic” regime will immediately follow,” the President noted. “For this reason, hotbeds of tension constantly flare up in various parts of the planet, destroying countries and entire regions. There are a lot of examples. We have come to the conclusion that today no state feels protected from external aggression." The situation is heating up with the expansion of military blocs and alliances to the detriment of the security of other countries, as well as the unprecedented build-up of NATO's potential in the European region. “All this is already at the western and southern borders of our Belarus,” the head of state emphasized. “We hear talk from individual figures about war and nuclear strikes.”

On responding to the aggravation of the situation,

the Head of State said that against the backdrop of constantly increasing military activity in Europe, Belarus is taking a set of measures to adequately respond to the aggravation of the situation. “This activity for the defense of our country is planned and involves several stages,” he said.

During the first stage, in response to the concentration of troops near the northwestern borders of Belarus (and this is already about 90 thousand people), reinforced tank and mechanized battalions were withdrawn. Issues of preventing sabotage and reconnaissance groups and illegal armed groups from entering Belarusian territory have been worked out. Also against this background, a sudden check was carried out with the mobilization and bringing to full combat readiness of mechanized and anti-aircraft missile brigades. “And the last thing is a large-scale check of the air force,” said Alexander Lukashenko.

According to him, these checks showed the effectiveness of the existing system of combat and mobilization readiness, the ability of brigades to move to the highest level of combat readiness in a timely manner and carry out tasks as intended.

On testing the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons

“Today we are starting to test the second stage of response measures. To carry it out, the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Belarus and RUSSIA provide for an inspection of the forces and means of a joint regional grouping of forces, within the framework of which for the first time it is planned to work out the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons,” stated the President. - During the inspection, special ammunition will be supplied to missile and aviation military units, loaded onto launchers and suspended on aircraft. Missile divisions of the Iskander and Polonez operational-tactical complexes will be secretly withdrawn to designated positions and will be trained. issues of launching missile strikes to repel a possible attack on Belarus."
At the same time, aviation military units will prepare front-line Su-25 attack aircraft for operations with special ammunition to support the defending troops and inflict unacceptable damage on the enemy.

“The events will be carried out against a general operational-strategic background, including training by Russian troops on the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. Military units of the Moscow and Leningrad military districts, as well as the forces and assets of the Baltic Fleet stationed in the Kaliningrad region will help us in obtaining operational information,” - noted Alexander Lukashenko.
The leaders of Belarus and Russia intend to discuss the decision on joint coordination and use of troops using special ammunition at a meeting in Moscow on May 8. “And we will make a final decision,” said the head of state.

“Direct control, leadership of troops, and giving signals for the training use of non-strategic nuclear weapons will be carried out by the general staffs of Belarus and Russia in accordance with existing interaction plans,” the President added.

At the same time, he drew special attention to the fact that this check is exclusively defensive in nature. “It is designed to ensure the readiness of Belarusian military units to work with special ammunition, as well as to debug the mechanisms of command and control and interaction of allied command and control bodies. Upon completion of the joint training, our troops will continue measures to adequately respond to changes in the situation,” said Alexander Lukashenko.

About an instant response to aggression

“I am a peaceful person, I don’t want war. I am a historian and I know well that Belarus has always fought not only and not so much its own wars. Belarus has always been a theater of military operations. I studied the Second World War and the Great War not only from books Patriotic War. Having become President, I became acquainted with the true state of affairs in June 1941 and the day before on our border, when we believed what we were told that there would be no war, that everything was normal,” said Alexander Lukashenko.

The President noted that Belarus does not intend to succumb to any provocations and is not going to fight with anyone. “Throwing the country, millions of people into the crucible of war is not for me. It’s just our task - if again, as it was, the enemy’s boot sets foot on our land, we must inflict unacceptable damage on the enemy. And he must understand this,” said the Belarusian leader “And when you understand that you will instantly receive something that is impossible for you to survive, unacceptable damage, damage, you will never (if you still have something left in your head) start this war.”
“We do not believe in any hopes. We declare once again: we are not going to attack anyone. We are simply reacting to what is happening not far away, somewhere in Gaza, where Israel is bombing civilians. Where tens of thousands of people have already died - silence. We do not interfere in these conflicts. We look after our land and react to what is happening nearby. I repeat again: 90 thousand (foreign military personnel - BELTA's note) are concentrated on our borders. Which of you can stand up and. to say that out of these 90 thousand tomorrow, ten thousand will not attack our border? No one,” noted Alexander Lukashenko.

Therefore, the President added, he, as commander-in-chief, decided to deploy military units in all possible directions of attack. The forces of the border troops and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are also involved in defense activities.

“It will be quiet - good, it will be calm and quiet here too. If someone uses weapons against us, we will respond. And instantly. We will not draw any lines. We are not Russia, thousands, thousands of kilometers away - there you can draw lines and expect something. You can’t capture Mother Russia right away. But Belarus, as the last war showed, ceased to exist within a month. Therefore, there will be no lines - and there will be an immediate response,” the Belarusian leader warned. .

About defense weapons and crazed politicians

He added that today there is a lot of talk about nuclear weapons. Some are beginning to wonder whether Lukashenko will or will not use these nuclear weapons. “Listen, this is a weapon of deterrence, this is a weapon of defense. No one will go on the offensive with these weapons. Draw a conclusion from here,” the head of state said.

The worst thing, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized, is that in the understanding of the West, the third world war is not something abstract and is presented as ordinary and completely acceptable. But it is unlikely that ordinary people need this - both here and in Europe and other regions of the planet. Therefore, today I would like once again from this rostrum on behalf of the peace-loving Belarusian people to appeal to the peoples of near and far abroad (the situation is pushing for this): we must stop the crazed politicians, not give them a chance to turn all life on the planet into ashes,” he called President.

On the plans and position of Belarus

“Belarus responds to all attempts at intimidation with a consistent peacekeeping position with a policy of strategic containment. We have taken into account the mistakes of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War and will no longer fall for promises, provocations and the blabbering of a direct military threat. Like Soviet soldiers back in 1945, we, together with our ally, stand to defend not only territorial, but also the borders of our common historical memory,” said Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of state recalled that at the first meeting of the VII All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, two fundamental documents - the Concept of National Security and the Military Doctrine. They define specific strategic measures that will help ensure reliable protection of the constitutional system of Belarus, the sovereignty and peaceful life of the people. “Whoever wants to understand our plans and our position today, I once again invite you to contact us. to these documents. We didn’t hide them, we published them,” the President noted.

“I repeat once again: we are an absolutely peaceful country and do not consider any state as an enemy. But if necessary, the Belarusian people will defend their native land, using all possible forces and means for this,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. “The main guarantor of the military The security of the country is our Armed Forces. Therefore, we maintain them in constant combat readiness and equip them with the most modern weapons." According to him, thanks to professional training, patriotism, loyalty to military duty and the Fatherland, the soldiers of the Belarusian army are able to ensure the security of our state and attack the enemy if necessary. irreparable and unacceptable damage.
At the same time, the head of state drew attention to the fact that today it is not only military force that is important: “Not even the most modern weapons can break the people if you and I have unity. Our opponents understand this well and are doing everything to tear us apart and divide us.” .

About the fate of the President and the vertical of power

“Saying all this, I think about not going overboard, not straining our society,” continued Alexander Lukashenko. “Everything we do, we do in order to achieve this (repeating the experience of the Great Patriotic War . - BELTA's note) did not happen. I don’t believe that in Western Europe - fattened, anyone will want to go into dirty, lousy trenches to fight. And our youth, you know. , doesn’t want this. It is we, who were born then, not far from that Great Victory, who understand what all this cost our parents and grandfathers.”

“But we must be prepared for anything. I don’t believe that they will go crazy and cross the line that they even drew themselves,” the head of state emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko said that he does not believe that the President of France, a nuclear power, Emmanuel Macron , is a completely reasonable, intelligent person, but declares his readiness to send armed forces into Ukraine even tomorrow and start a war, or, for example, the Polish authorities, or else who - that they will actually do what they say they will do. “To prevent them from doing this, we must be strong (this has already been said, now only strength is respected). And no matter how small or large we are, we must be strong, organized, monolithic,” said the head of state.

“My destiny and those around me is to ensure that we can respond to any threat,” he added.

About veterans and liberators of Belarus

The head of state drew attention to the fact that the modern generation has a worthy example to follow - these are veterans of the Great Patriotic War, of whom, unfortunately, very few are alive today. In the first post-war years, they, weakened, having endured so many hardships, deprivations and suffering, nevertheless found within themselves the strength and courage to restore the country. They did “everything and even more” for us, the President noted. “We must not forget this. As soon as we forget, this misfortune will come to us,” he emphasized.

The head of state also addressed special words of gratitude to those liberators of Belarus who live in different parts of the world: “You are dear people to us. No matter what happens and no matter how they treat the Victory where you live now, the Belarusian land remembers you all and thanks you ".

“Eternal glory to the heroic feat of the peoples of the Soviet Union, who together went through the fiery hard times of war and defeated Nazism,” the President said.

Alexander Lukashenko wished veterans and everyone who restored the country, as well as representatives of the older generation, all compatriots peace, goodness, prosperity and a happy life under the sky of only a free Belarus. “I cordially congratulate everyone on the upcoming great holiday. Happy Victory Day, dear friends!” the head of state said in conclusion. “Live in peace, raise your children. Let everyone do their part. We will not escape from this time. Because time has chosen us ".
