In the region of Buryatia there was an outbreak of a contagious disease among livestock

In the Kyakhtinsky district of Buryatia, foci of cattle infection with infectious nodular dermatitis (LUD) were revealed. Today, on December 29, in the villages of Ust-Kiran and Burduny, the export and sale of meat and milk is prohibited, the slaughter of livestock is prohibited throughout the region, and posts for steam disinfection of people and vehicles are set up.

Itching is not dangerous for humans, but a person is a carrier of this disease. Therefore, today the issue of setting up three additional disinfection posts from the village of Ust-Kiran is being decided. Employees of Rosselkhoznadzor , police and veterinary services are on duty around the clock . Disinfection is carried out through a steam generator.

All possible measures are being taken to prevent the spread of infection in other regions of the republic.

Earlier, the group reported that the head of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov, instructed to buy livestock in private farms of the affected villages. The cattle will be redeemed at the market price with funds from the republican budget until January 15 next year.

Subsequently, ransomed animals will be burned for disposal.
