Turkey MEAT production in the Russian Federation increased more than 19 times from 2006 to 2023: from 22 thousand tons to 422 thousand tons in slaughter weight. This year, production is expected to grow to 440 thousand tons, and in 2025, to 500 thousand tons, according to the Center for Industry Expertise. According to analysts at Rosselkhozbank, the industry will approach 700 thousand tons by the end of 2030. Turkey consumption increased 5.3 times from 2012 to 2023, to an average of 2.75 kg per person per year. Moreover, overall meat consumption during this period increased by an average of 1% per year, while in the turkey segment, the average annual growth is 25%, the analysts compared.
They also noted an increase in turkey exports: from 2015 to 2023, it grew 77 times - from 0.35 thousand tons to 25.6 thousand tons. “Already today, RussianTurkey is the leader in the turkey markets of CHINA with a share of 80%, Saudi Arabia with a share of 54%, the UAE - 37%, and in total exports go to 36 countries, - Knyazkov specified. - At the same time, the domestic market remains an absolute priority: last year, external supplies accounted for only 6% of production."
