Agricultural Success in 2024: Livestock Key to Recovery

According to Petrychenko, in 2024 , the volume of livestock production amounted to 4.196 trillion rubles, while in 2023 this figure reached 3.784 trillion rubles. At the same time, crop production indicators decreased from 4.707 trillion rubles last year by 2 billion rubles.

According to him, the average annual poultry population in RUSSIA since 2017, which amounted to 453 million heads, increased to 474 million in 2024. The growth rate of the pig population, which previously showed good results at 7.3%, slowed significantly to 2.1%.

These data were announced at the 18th Grain Conference, held from February 26 to 28 in Belokurikha, Altai Krai, where strategies for the development of the Russian grain industry and effective management decisions are being discussed.
