The Tyumen region has taken a leading position among the subjects of the Ural Federal District (UFD) in the production of all types of MEAT, and also took first place in the production of MILK, said Vladimir Kovin, HEAD of the Agrarian Committee of the Tyumen Regional Duma.
The results of the development of the agricultural sector were discussed at a committee meeting.
Vladimir Kovin stressed that the Tyumen region has left Chelyabinsk behind in the production of all kinds of meat. According to the head of the committee, "it was not easy."
The deputy added that additional sites for the production of hatching eggs will open this summer in the Isetsky district of the Tyumen regionturkeys. This will provide more than 30% of the total demand for this product in RUSSIA. In total, up to 12 million hatching eggs per year will be produced here.
“It is significant that advanced technologies are being widely introduced in the livestock sector. And this allows you to significantly reduce production losses, as well as costs arising from the so-called "human factor".
Vladimir Kovin noted that work continues in the region to attract investment in the agro-industrial sector, equipment is being modernized.
