Tyumen residents complained to Moore about the smell from the Borovskaya poultry farm

Tyumen residents again drew attention to the unpleasant smell that allegedly comes from the Borovskaya poultry farm.

The governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, denied the occurrence of an unpleasant smell in the regional capital because of the Borovskaya poultry farm, where bird flu was detected in October. He announced this during a direct line.

“All activities related to the burning of poultry at the Borovskaya poultry farm were completed in November. Now there is no burning. Those inconveniences that were associated with the event are no more. In early December, an unpleasant smell appeared - this is a haze from smoldering peat fires in the region,” the HEAD of the region noted.

Recall that on October 13, an outbreak of bird flu was detected at the Borovskaya poultry farm. Immediately after that, quarantine was introduced, and all products and livestock were burned. The smell from the fires in which the infected chickens were disposed of tormented the inhabitants of Tyumen for several weeks. In parallel, work was carried out at the factory to eliminate the consequences of the outbreak - its activities were suspended. Tentatively, it will resume production in the spring of 2022.
