The event with the participation of leaders of the pig farming industry was held in the Voronezh region.

An extended on-site meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Union of Pig Breeders (NSU) took place in the Voronezh region on the territory of the MEAT processing enterprise of the Agroeko Group of Companies . The annual event brought together the largest industry players, representatives of specialized institutes and leading experts in the agricultural market.

" Agropromkomplektatsiya " was represented at the event by the owner and general DIRECTOR Sergey Novikov.

Participants were treated to a production tour of the innovative meat processing plant "Agroeko", which included the full cycle from raw material acceptance to product release. After which a meeting of the NSS Board of Directors was held in the conference room. Those present heard a report by the General Director of the National Union of Pig Breeders, Yuri Kovalev, who summarized the results of the pig farming industry for 2023, discussed the current situation, forecast trends for 2024 and for the period until 2026, as well as industry targets until 2030.

– Pig breeding is a key area of ​​activity for Agropromkomplektatsiya: we are building pig-breeding complexes from scratch in order to ensure the maximum level of biosafety, and this year two new sites in the Ryazan region will send the first batches of livestock to our meat processing plants. By the end of the year we plan to increase the total volume of pork production in live weight to 291 thousand tons,” comments Sergei Novikov.

In accordance with the country's policy of accelerated import substitution, the Group of Companies ensures breeding sovereignty by developing its own genetics of agricultural pigs, which already accounts for 99% of the livestock structure.
