
The number of regions actively involved in EXPORT activities is growing every year: while in 2017 there were 17 with export volumes exceeding $200 million, by 2024 this figure had risen to 35. The share of grain in agricultural exports remained at 37% by value. Over the past five years, there has been a 12% increase in exports in this segment.
The most significant increase in external shipments was observed for MEAT and dairy products, whose volumes increased by 16.9%, although their share of overall agricultural exports only increased from 4% to 5%. Shipments of oil and fat products are also increasing, with their share rising from 16% to 20.4%, and shipment volumes have increased by 15.7% since 2020.
The largest importers of Russian agricultural products in 2024 were CHINA ($6.4 billion), Turkey ($3.4 billion), Kazakhstan ($3.3 billion), Belarus ($3.1 billion), Egypt ($3 billion), and India ($2.6 billion). In physical terms, agricultural exports increased by 5.3% last year, reaching over 109 million tonnes.
