The twenty leaders are headed by Viktor Nauruzov's holding, the Resurs group of agricultural enterprises, founded in the Stavropol Territory. At the end of last year, the total volume of production of chicken meat by divisions of GAP "Resource" in different regions of the country amounted to 1 million in live weight (15% of the market).

The second position is occupied by Cherkizovo Group PJSC with a total chicken meat production of 846 thousand tons and a market share of 13%, the third is Prioskolie CJSC (455 thousand tons and 7% respectively). The fourth place was taken by the Krasnodar holding "Agrocomplex" them. N.I. Tkacheva (324.5 thousand tons, 5%), the fifth - ABH "BEZRK-Belgrankorm" headquartered in the Belgorod region (304 thousand tons, 5%).

The rating of regions is headed by the Belgorod region with a total volume of broiler meat of 817.8 thousand tons in live weight and a federal market share of 12%. It is followed by the Stavropol Territory and the Tambov Region. 25 constituent entities of Russia provide their regions with 100% poultry meat and produce more than 93.1 kilograms of poultry meat per capita per year.

In an interview with ViZh, President of the Russian Poultry Union, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Fisinin specified that in 2021–2022, the gross production of poultry meat in Russia increased by 222.6 thousand tons, to 5.3 million tons. The Russian Federation took the 4th place in the world ranking of the poultry industry.
