Roskachestvo revealed violations in the composition of creamy sausages

Roskachestvo checked domestically produced creamy sausages. A quarter of the examined products revealed safety violations, the organization said in a statement.

The experts examined the products of 20 brands from the Novosibirsk, Yaroslavl and Belgorod regions, Moscow and St. Petersburg according to 145 safety and quality indicators.

“A quarter of the investigated products with safety violations. One of the goods is fake: there was no beef in it, ”the organization said in a statement.

Of the six samples made in accordance with GOST, only pig DNA was found in one trademark, and no cattle DNA was found. Botulism pathogens, clostridia, were found in one brand, and an excess in the number of microorganisms (QMAFAnM) was found in three brands, which may indicate a poor sanitary condition of production and possible non-compliance with storage conditions. Starch, the presence of which is not allowed by GOST, was established in six samples.

In addition, experts compared the price of creamy sausages and the content of beef in them, but did not see a relationship in these values.

“The high price of a product does not yet determine the content of an expensive ingredient in it - beef. In addition, most manufacturers put beef in minced meat and do not switch to using cheaper poultry meat, ”the experts concluded.

Earlier it was reported that in the course of checking brands of low-fat cottage cheese for compliance with safety, specialists from the Russian Quality System (Roskachestvo) discovered dangerous bacteria. Another 14 products were found to contain yeast, and one of the brands showed signs of falsification with vegetable fats.
