According to information published in the Heihe Daily newspaper, the main construction will take place by the end of May, and the area of the new facility will be 5,980 square meters, with a total investment of about 17 million yuan. The project was approved in February 2025 by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, which expresses high support from the state. The control zone will speed up the process of importing meat products and seafood from Russia, which is especially important in the context of growing demand for this product in the Chinese market.
In addition, Heihe's leadership is actively seeking investors to establish processing plants, which will not only increase supply volumes, but also create a complete logistics chain from receiving products to delivering them to end consumers. Cold storage facilities will be set up on the territory of the zone, ensuring the safety and quality of products during storage and transportation.
With the completion of the control zone and the launch of new processing facilities, Heihe could become an important hub for importing beef, pork, chicken, fish and seafood from Russia, strengthening trade ties between the two countries and creating new jobs. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the economic development of the region and allow Russian meat and seafood producers to take advantage of attractive opportunities in the Chinese market, ensuring high quality and uninterrupted supply.
