The Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office brought the Ostrovnaya poultry farm to administrative responsibility for an unauthorized dump of broken eggs and dead chickens near the production area, discovered in May.
The HEAD of the enterprise was ordered to pay a fine in the amount of 20 thousand rubles, dispose of biological waste and build a specialized site for their disposal.
The report about a foul-smelling "chicken graveyard" in the open air was received by the KP-Sakhalin news agency in May. The Sakhalin Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office immediately reacted to the information.
During the audit, violations of veterinary and sanitary rules were revealed, and subsequently measures of disciplinary and administrative responsibility were determined. In total, representatives of the department counted about 9,000 poultry carcasses and 1,140 eggs in the landfill, carelessly covered with a tarpaulin.
The press service of the prosecutor's office informed the media that the poultry farm is already purchasing closed containers for biological waste, has destroyed the landfill and is building a site where waste will be stored with subsequent disposal.
With respect to the General DIRECTOR of Ostrovnaya Poultry Farm JSC, Sergei Dobreli, an administrative offense case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 10.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the veterinary and sanitary rules for the collection, disposal and destruction of biological waste) with administrative liability in the form of a fine.
