During a recent meeting of the public council under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the region, the results of the work of Khabarovskplemservice for 2023 were announced. The main direction of the organization is the development of livestock breeding in the region and improvement of the genetic potential of cattle ( cattle ).
One of the important indicators is almost 700 calves born this year, which is twice as many as in 2022. This became possible thanks to the opening of artificial insemination stations for cattle. Currently there are already seven of them in the region: in Vyazemsky, Sovetsko-Gavansky, Bikinsky, Khabarovsky and them. Lazo districts, as well as in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. These points are staffed by specialists trained by Khabarovskplemservice. Services are provided to farmers of the region free of charge. Next year it is planned to open two more points.
- Summing up preliminary results for the year, we can say that more and more agricultural producers in our region understand the need to conduct selection and breeding work. Enterprise specialists carry out assessments, maintain zootechnical records and can analyze their performance indicators. All this makes it possible to identify unproductive livestock and replace it with more valuable ones, thereby reducing the cost of maintaining unproductive livestock, obtaining higher quality MILK , and increasing milk yield in the region,” said Albina Sherstneva, acting general DIRECTOR of the Khabarovskplemservice ANO.
She emphasized that the organization’s specialists go to farms, advise agricultural producers, and train specialists.
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the total volume of milk production in farms of all categories for 10 months of this year amounted to 19.3 thousand tons. At the same time, the volume of milk production among recipients of state support increased by 8.3%. There are about 13 thousand HEAD of cattle in the region, of which approximately 5.1 thousand are cows.
