Organization of a green conveyor for feeding cattle improves animal health

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region held a regional seminar "Organization of full-fledged feeding of cattle" on the basis of the Agricultural University-MSHA named after K.A. Timiryazev

“The event was attended by more than 75 managers and specialists of agricultural organizations of the Moscow region, as well as more than 50 students of the Faculty of Animal Science and Biology of the Agricultural University. During the seminar, the issues of rational feeding of highly productive cattle were covered, ”said the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Sergey Voskresensky.

Also at the meeting, issues of organizing a green conveyor, features of assessing the quality of silage and haylage, the impact of unbalanced feeding on the health of highly productive cows were considered.

Particular attention at the event was paid to the use of preservatives in the preparation of feed and control over the full feeding of cows, taking into account age, the impact of a properly formulated diet on the reproductive functions of cows in winter.

“It is necessary to regularly discuss the organization of full-fledged feeding of dairy cattle and the conditions for their maintenance, since the productivity, fat content of milk and dairy products, as well as strengthening the immunity of cows and their offspring, depends on this,” Sergei Voskresensky added.

During the discussion, practical recommendations were given to normalize the metabolism of cattle.
