"On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, a food industry cluster is being formed in TiNAO. it will house enterprises producing MEAT and dairy products, bakery and confectionery products, as well as ready-made meals. Thanks to the city's support, the volume of food production in Moscow continues to grow steadily, which allows providing the population with high-quality food products. Thus, for the period from January to June 2025, compared to the same period in 2024 , the production of cereals increased by 4.9 times, bread and bakery products - by 7.1%, meat and offal - by almost 15%, and fresh and chilled freshwater fish - by 2.2 times," Liksutov was quoted as saying by the press service of the city's Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP).
According to him, the growth in production creates a solid foundation for strengthening Moscow's food independence.
Thus, the Cherkizovo Group plans to increase the production of sliced sausages by 23% in 2025. In total, in 2024, the company produced about 1.1 million tons of broiler meat, 336 thousand tons of pork and 80 thousand tons of turkey. In turn, the Peko bakery increased its output by 10% in the first 6 months of the year compared to last year - more than 20 thousand tons of bakery products were produced during the year. Karat JSC, one of the three largest producers of processed and curd cheese, produces about 30 thousand tons of products annually. Its revenue amounted to 9.7 billion rubles, net profit - 431 million rubles.
As specified by the Minister of the Moscow Government, HEAD of DIPP Anatoly Garbuzov, more than 320 food industry enterprises operate in the capital.
"Thanks to the active support of the city, they are modernizing their production facilities and improving the quality of their products, strengthening their positions in the market. As a result, in the first six months of 2025, the volume of food supplies in Moscow increased by 20.3% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 333.6 billion rubles. Enterprises supplied bakery and FLOUR confectionery products worth about 63 billion rubles, dairy products worth 39 billion rubles, canned fruits and vegetables worth 14.3 billion rubles, which indicates the stable growth of the industry and its important role in the city's economy," Garbuzov summarized.
