In the Republic of Mordovia, the results of the agro-industrial complex for 2022 have been summed up, the Ministry of Agriculture reports. Being one of the key agrarians of the Volga region, the region has increased production in all areas, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement, including rising in the ranking of egg, MEAT and poultry producers.
So, in the region in 2022, 1.6 million tons of grain and more than 778 thousand tons of SUGAR beets were harvested - all this is more than a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. In addition, the region ranked 3rd in the county for egg production, 5th for livestock and poultry, and 9th for MILK. The Ministry of Agriculture of the region notes that changes are expected in the livestock sector in the region in 2023 - federal laws, such as new rules for handling livestock waste, are coming into effect, and a lot of work is expected to modernize existing farms and achieve import substitution of breeding stock. At the moment, breeding cattle makes up 28.7% of the livestock in the country.
Now the republic is preparing for the spring sowing campaign, the Ministry of Agriculture reports.
In total, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, in 9 months of 2022, Mordovia produced agricultural products by farms of all categories in the amount of 76.3 billion rubles, while production increased by 112% compared to last year. Mordovia fully meets the domestic demand for milk, meat and vegetables, and exports up to 80% of products to other regions, depending on the industry. EXPORT of agricultural products in the region amounted to $18 million for 9 months of 2022.
