The Kursk region in January-March 2023 produced 167.8 thousand tons of livestock and poultry MEAT for slaughter in live weight, which is 4.9% more than in the same period last year, Kurskstat reported.
At the same time, MILK production increased by 14.6% - up to 87.2 thousand tons.
Egg production for three months in the region increased by 0.2%.
As of April 1, 122.7 thousand heads of cattle were kept in the farms of the region (an increase of 6.9%), pigs - 2.4 million (an increase of 3.5%), sheep and goats - 86.3 thousand heads (growth by 21.5%).
