LLC "Kurgan Meat Processing Plant "Standard"" was unable to comply with the warning of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia in the Kurgan region, which obliged the enterprise to withdraw stew that did not comply with GOST from stores. At the request of the company, the antimonopoly department extended the deadline for a month - until April 25, the press service of the Kurgan OFAS reports.

Representatives of the meat processing plant notified the antimonopoly service of the partial implementation of the warning. The statement on the extension of the term was justified by the fact that some of the counterparties are located in other regions of the Russian Federation, which increases the time to resolve organizational issues, as well as by the peculiarities of the return of products. Kurgan OFAS granted the petition.

As Kommersant-South Ural reported, the antimonopoly department revealed violations of the law "On Protection of Competition" in the actions of the Kurgan meat processing plant. It was established that the enterprise misled consumers about the quality of canned meat: stewed pork and beef did not comply with the GOST declared on the packaging. The application was sent to the OFAS by the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, which, in turn, received complaints about the quality of Kurgan stew from the Voronezh, Sverdlovsk, Kursk, Belgorod regions and Moscow. As a result, the company was issued a warning obliging them to withdraw from sale several batches of products manufactured with violations and not to release them into circulation in the future.
