"Kargat Poultry Farm" successfully solves the problem of import substitution in the production of products

Governor Andrei Travnikov and Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Viktor Ignatov got acquainted with the work of the Kargat poultry farm during their working trip. It is engaged in the production of grain, poultry meat and eggs.

Andrey Travnikov noted that today the main tasks of the enterprise are the rejection of import dependence on breeding stock in poultry farming, the expansion of the market for the supply of products and breeding material, the renewal of equipment and material and technical base. “Moving away from import dependence in livestock and poultry is the most urgent task. In addition, the Novosibirsk region produces more poultry meat than it consumes, so it is very important to find new markets.”

Viktor Ignatov, a member of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on agrarian issues, recalled that a tragedy had occurred earlier - the livestock was completely destroyed by the disease. “And for the region, this is an important enterprise - jobs, taxes to the budget, industrial growth. Now there is a difficult process of restoring the poultry population, it is developing thanks to a new investor. In addition, there is a traditional seasonal rise in egg prices. We also received timely federal support for the purchase of technological equipment.”

The number of employees of the enterprise is 63 people. As of 09/01/2021, the poultry population is 126,798 heads.
