Since November 30, quarantine for animal rabies has been established in the village of Verkhneeremino, Solntsevo district, Kursk region, the press service of the regional administration said on Wednesday.

"In the municipality, quarantine for rabies has been introduced for a period of 60 days," the report says.

Clinical signs of rabies appeared in a cow in a private farm. The owner of cattle turned to the veterinary service of the district. Specialists sent samples to the regional veterinary laboratory, where they confirmed the rabies of the animal.

The Veterinary Administration of the Kursk Region notes that the owner of the personal subsidiary plot did not notify the specialists about the purchase of the cow, and accordingly, it was not vaccinated.
