Farming in the Sergiev Posad District will double the number of goats

"The farm plans to double the number of animals - up to 1,500 heads, of which 1,000 heads will be a dairy herd," Georgy Filimonov, deputy chairman of the Moscow Region Government of the Moscow Region, is quoted in the message.

He noted that in 2022, the farm produced 162 tons of MILK. Now the main dairy livestock is about 700 goats of the Saanen breed.

The ministry notes that in 2021 the farm won a grant for the development of a family livestock farm in the amount of 22 million rubles. These funds were used to purchase agricultural machinery, equipment for the milking parlor and a CHEESE FACTORY.

Farmers plan to increase the number of goats by mid-2024, Interfax was told in the press service of the department.
