Damate will invest almost 7 billion rubles more to expand turkey production

The Governor of the Penza Region supported the start of the project and discussed with the head of the company the conditions for further provision of state support measures. In particular, they talked about compensation for the costs of technological equipment, the construction of engineering and transport infrastructure facilities for new production sites, the creation of treatment facilities, as well as social facilities.

Oleg Melnichenko also noted that Damate has been a strategic partner of the Penza region for many years. In many ways, the volumes of agricultural production that are currently in the region have been achieved due to the work of the company, he drew attention.

In the Penza region, Damate owns the largest turkey production complex in Russia. It includes a full production cycle: two incubators, rearing and fattening poultry houses, two elevators, four feed mills, a high-tech turkey slaughter and processing plant, and the largest turkey deep processing plant in Europe. Last year, the company produced almost 198 thousand tons of live weight turkey in the region.

Damate is the largest turkey producer in the country, the company also develops the production of duck and lamb meat , is engaged in dairy farming and milk processing. The geography of the agricultural holding's activities covers the Penza, Rostov and Tyumen regions, the North Caucasus Federal District. In the Penza region, in addition to turkey-breeding assets, the company owns the leading milk processor in the region - the Penzensky dairy plant (Molkom), which processes up to 300 tons of raw milk per day.
