Brazil expands beef exports, Kenya becomes new destination

In 2024 , Brazil exported more than US $41 million in agricultural products to the African country . According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), the opening of the market should boost bilateral trade. “For Brazil, this is an opportunity to diversify trade partnerships and strengthen the national production sector,” the ministry emphasized.

Kenya, located in East Africa, has a population of 55 million and one of the continent's most important economies. Under a new agreement, the country will begin importing Brazilian MEAT , whose quality is internationally recognized, to meet growing demand for animal protein.

To begin exporting, Kenyan importers will have to conduct a risk assessment for each Brazilian company interested in supplying the country. After this step, import licenses will need to be obtained.
