"Belgorodskaya Turkey" implements lean manufacturing tools

The pilot project "Optimizing the process of shipment of birds in the fattening cycle" started six months ago. Last week, its results were jointly analyzed by consultants from the RCC, the management of the enterprise and members of the initiative group.

Let's start with indicators. Implementation of lean manufacturing tools resulted in a 14% reduction in process time. The output per employee in the stream increased by 12%. The volume of work in progress decreased by 15%.

The pilot project involved the introduction of systems for collecting rationalization proposals, adaptation and mentoring, and monitoring operational performance at all levels of management. Now the company will continue initiatives at other sites in accordance with the corporate plan for three years. Scale experience and a new approach to the organization of work will be the project office, created six months ago.
