July 7, Grodno. In the Shchuchinsky district, a robbery was committed on a 25-year-old girl. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent at the USC in the Grodno region.

"The Grodno inter-district department of the Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case of a robbery against a 25-year-old girl. In the spring, she met a 31-year-old Grodno resident on a social network. On the afternoon of June 17, a man came to visit his friend in the Shchuchinsky district. During a conversation, he began to demand the girl got the money. Not getting what she wanted, the man stabbed her in the stomach and tied her with tape. After that, he stole a Br360, a mobile phone and a bicycle, on which he went to the nearest store," the USC said. 

The girl is in the hospital, doctors are fighting for her life. A resident of Grodno was detained. The man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime . Previously, he was repeatedly brought to administrative and criminal liability, including for committing property crimes.

The actions of a resident of Grodno are qualified under part 3 of article 207 (robbery committed repeatedly, with infliction of grievous bodily injury) of the Criminal Code. The sanctions of the article provide for punishment of up to 15 years in prison. He is taken into custody.
