A house caught fire in the Postavy district: a triggered fire detector woke up the owner

April 11, Vitebsk. In the Postavy district, during a fire in a private house, the API went off and woke up the owner, BelTA was told in the Vitebsk regional emergency department.

Rescuers on April 10 at 13.37 received a message about a fire in a residential building in the village of Polesie. Upon arrival at the place of call of the units of the Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations, the rescuers saw open burning of the house, the roof collapsed.

The owner of the dwelling, born in 1966, was in the house at the time of the fire and was sleeping. Waking up from the sound of a triggered detector, the man immediately left the house through the window. He was examined by the medics who arrived at the scene of the emergency and were hospitalized with burns to his hands and face. The man lived alone and did not work anywhere, according to neighbors, he liked to abuse ALCOHOL.

The fire was extinguished by rescuers, the house was completely destroyed by fire. On this fact, an inspection is being carried out, the cause of the fire is being established, and the version of careless handling of fire when smoking by the owner is being considered.
