
March 25, Minsk. In the Mogilev region, at the initiative of the prosecutor's office, an action is being held to prevent especially grave and grave crimes against the life and health of citizens, BelTA informs with reference to the information service of the regional prosecutor's office.
The action was called "Informs the prosecutor." Its goal is to pay additional attention through preventive measures to citizens prone to violent crimes, including in the sphere of family and domestic relations, as well as to people who abuse alcohol, to help in finding employment for those who are not yet working.
As the analysis of the criminogenic situation in the region showed, the main causes and conditions that contributed to the infliction of serious bodily harm on citizens were the abuse of alcoholic beverages and the unemployment of the perpetrators and victims.
As of March 18, 31 such crimes were registered in the Mogilev region. In five cases, the victims died due to the infliction of bodily harm. 73% of the defendants were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime , including during or after drinking alcohol together with the victims.
During the action, prosecutors will take part in meetings of councils of public law enforcement agencies and individual preventive conversations with persons of antisocial behavior, prone to violence, and family brawlers. For this, information products have been developed.
By the way, at several such meetings with the participation of prosecutors, a preventive conversation was held with each invitee. They were explained the procedure for sending them to a medical and labor dispensary, criminal and administrative liability for causing bodily harm. As a result of the meeting, specific proposals were developed for each of them.
