Traffic police of the Vitebsk region over the weekend fined more than 350 pedestrians for traffic violations

January 16, Vitebsk. Over the weekend, more than 350 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for violations of traffic rules in the Vitebsk region. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent in the agitation and propaganda department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

As specified in the State traffic inspectorate, for violation of traffic rules over the weekend, employees brought to administrative responsibility more than 350 pedestrians. Among them were road users in a state of intoxication and without retroreflective elements. A week earlier, the figure for pedestrian offenders over the weekend was at about the same level - about 350 people.

The road situation in the northern region is complicated by weather conditions: in some areas there is black ice, precipitation makes traffic difficult and reduces visibility. The inspectors urge drivers to pay more attention, ask them to take into account the situation and be extremely careful on bridges, overpasses, roundabouts and when approaching unregulated pedestrian crossings. Motorists are also advised to choose a safe distance from cars in front and speed. Transitions are reminded of the need to use reflective elements when moving at night.
