The nutritionist appreciated the idea of ​​losing weight without exercise

A nutritionist and professor at the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia Margarita Koroleva commented to RBC on the idea of ​​whether people can lose weight without resorting to physical exercise. This approach was previously reported by the Food.News portal, citing nutrition experts who compiled a list of recommendations for those who want to lose weight, but for some reason cannot exercise regularly.

According to the Queen, first of all, sources of complete protein should be added to the daily diet and the intake of simple carbohydrates should be reduced. “Each recommendation has its rational grains. If we are talking about sources of complete protein, then they must be in the diet. Protein, processed in the body, increases the rate of metabolic processes. It is also embedded in the muscle tissue, and if in the future a person starts to move, then he will have something to fill the muscle elements. If we are talking about the reduction of simple carbohydrates - sweet, then this is without a doubt a low metabolic rate, fat deposits in the subcutaneous fat and a tendency to gain body weight, ”says Koroleva. 

Also, the nutritionist recommends monitoring the level of stress and constantly keeping it on a “lower bar”. “We live with an unhealthy environment and high levels of stress and relatively increasingly artificial food. Therefore, the stress level should be low so that there is no indiscriminate overeating, and so that there is no weight gain. How are we going to reduce it? It would be nice to start moving, because physical activity allows you to control stress and reduce cortisol levels, thereby toning the muscle fiber, ”says the expert.

In addition to these recommendations, the Queen nevertheless advised to approach diet and body health in a complex way, in order to get not a “one-time” effect, but to consolidate the result in the long term. So, a systematic approach should include physical activity and rational nutrition - this is how a person will manage stress levels and strengthen his muscle mass, maintaining harmony. 

“With a systematic approach, we can get the desired result and even more, in the form of simply improving our lives and maintaining active longevity,” concluded the Queen.
