November 10, Moscow. Belarus intends to take part in an experiment on the labeling of beer, antiseptics and biologically active food supplements. Iya Malkina, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission, announced this at a briefing today, BelTA has learned.

"The commission has received information about ongoing experiments in Russia on marking beer, beer-based drinks, certain types of low-alcohol drinks with identification means - from April 1 of the current year to August 31, 2022; biologically active food supplements - from May 1 of the current year to August 31, 2022; perfumery and cosmetic products intended for hand hygiene with an antimicrobial effect declared in the labeling of consumer packaging, skin antiseptics and disinfectants - from August 1 of the current year to August 31, 2022," she said. Simultaneously with this information, the EEC received an invitation to other states of the Eurasian Economic Union to take part in these pilot projects. "The proposal was sent to the parties, and information about the consent to participate in the experiment has already been received from the Republic of Belarus," the EEC representative noted.

In addition, at present, the EEC site is considering a notification from Russia of its intention to introduce mandatory labeling of bicycles and bicycle frames on its territory from March 1, 2022 and, accordingly, a proposal to the parties to join.

"Kazakhstan's notification on the introduction of labeling for certain medicines is also being considered. At the same time, the Kazakh side proposes to introduce labeling only at the national level," Iya Malkina added.
