Today, September 14, Udmurt beekeepers celebrate their professional holiday.

This is the youngest professional holiday in the agro-industrial complex of the republic - the Day of the beekeeper was legally fixed by the deputies as the official holiday date of Udmurtia by the law "On holidays and memorable dates of the UR" in November 2020.

The high export potential of this industry has already been appreciated - today the Ministry of Agriculture of Udmurtia is setting the task of bringing beekeeping to the number of export-oriented sectors of the Udmurt agricultural industry. For the second year, beekeepers of the republic can count on state support allocated from the budget of the republic.

It should be noted that in 2020 a regional register of beekeepers was created in Udmurtia. As of August 1, 2021, 4,215 beekeepers are included in it, containing 48,232 bee colonies. Among them there is also a loudspeaker. Breeding work to increase the productivity of bee colonies is carried out in Rossiya LLC, Mozhginsky district, where there are 2 apiaries for 132 and 129 bee colonies, respectively. Along with the apiaries of Rossiya LLC, 8 more apiaries also have the status of an agricultural organization, including those within the KFH and LPH.

By the way, the largest apiary in the republics is located in the village. Cheganda, Karakulinsky district, where 335 bee colonies are kept. And 300 bee families - in the apiary in the village. Komyak, Mozhginsky district.

“Over the centuries, the production of honey has evolved from a painstaking craft into a real art. And its secrets are revealed only to the caring and hardworking. Dear beekeepers! We heartily congratulate you on your professional holiday! I wish you good health, prosperity, happiness, new labor successes and generous honey collections. May there always be a full cup of honey on your table as a symbol of energy and prosperity!” - congratulated the beekeepers Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food Olga Abramova.
