Industrial production and export of poultry meat is growing in Rostov region

Since the beginning of the year, the production of duck MEAT products in gas-vacuum packaging has increased by 40% and exports to CHINA have grown .
In the Don region, the development of complexes for the industrial production of turkey and duck meat, which have been part of the Damate group of companies since 2020, continues.
Thus, at the New Duck Farms enterprise, the production of duck products in gas-vacuum packaging has increased by 40%. The installation of equipment allowed us to increase the production capacity of this product by 90 tons per month and expanded the range of products.
"We constantly monitor consumer demand for our products and improve production to meet customer requests. Today, products in gas-vacuum packaging are in increasing demand. This modern and safe packaging method allows us to maintain high quality and consumer properties of the product. In addition, all vitamins and minerals are preserved, "said Andrey Sedov, General DIRECTOR of Damate.
When packaging products, the structure of the product is not damaged and moisture is not released, while the shelf life is increased. The packer works as follows: the products are placed in a tray, the air is completely removed, after which the bag is filled with a special protective gas, weighed and marked on a thermal printer. According to the results of 9 months of 2024, the New Duck Farms enterprise produced 13 thousand tons of duck products in slaughter weight, which is 30% more than the same period last year.
“Since the beginning of the year , meat production in the Rostov Region amounted to 325.4 thousand tons, or 103.8% compared to the same period in 2023. We see the main growth at agricultural enterprises, which produced 184.7 thousand tons in 10 months, increasing by more than 10% compared to last year. This is 57% of the total meat production in the Don. And the enterprises of the Damate group of companies make a significant contribution to the overall meat production indicators in the region, expanding both production volumes and the geography of deliveries of their products,” commented the Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region -Minister of Agriculture and Food Konstantin Rachalovsky.
Thus, since the beginning of 2024, duck meat exports to China have been established. Over 300 tons of duck in slaughter weight have been shipped from the Rostov Region to China in 9 months, which is 100% of the total volume of Russian deliveries, since Damate is the only exporter of duck from RUSSIA to China. The company also notes that 20% of the total volume of turkey meat exports (since the beginning of the year, Damate Group has exported 8,000 tons to China) were supplied from a turkey farm in the Rostov Region.
