In the Rostov region, activities are ongoing within the framework of the national project "Export of agricultural products." The region retains its leading position in agricultural exports and expands its port infrastructure through the implementation of investment projects.
“Our region remains a leading agricultural and export-oriented region, and despite external challenges and sanctions pressure, we see that there is a steady demand on the world food market for the products of the Don agro-industrial complex, emphasized Viktor Goncharov, First Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, during an off-site meeting on the territory of the Rostov sea multimodal port. - The plan for the EXPORT of agricultural products, according to the national project, from the Rostov region in 2022 should amount to more than 6 billion dollars. As of mid-July, the volume of agricultural exports from the Don region amounted to almost $3.4 billion in monetary terms at actual prices.”
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region, more than $2 billion worth of grain was exported. Exports of products of the oil and fat industry amounted to more than 850 million dollars in monetary terms in actual prices. The main importers are Turkey and Egypt and Libya.
“For the development of export activities, it is very important to implement investment projects aimed at expanding the port infrastructure,” Viktor Goncharov noted. - today we are on the territory of the Rostov sea multimodal port, where an investment project is being implemented to build a grain terminal with a capacity of 1 million tons of grain cargo per year. Last year, the first stage was implemented - a transshipment complex with a capacity of 700,000 tons was built, and today we got acquainted with the progress of work to expand the complex to 1 million tons per year. It is worth noting that this year the Rostov region this year takes the lead in the harvest of early grains. Now the harvesting work in the region is being completed - about 11.5 million tons of grain have already been harvested.
For his part, Renat Niazbaev, the general DIRECTOR of the investor's company LLC RMMP-Zerno, confirmed that the next stage of the construction and launch of the mill will be a logical continuation of the investment project, with a total cost of 1.8 billion rubles.
“We hope that in 2024 we will see the implementation of a new stage in the construction of the mill,” said the HEAD of the company. “We plan that not only grain, but also FLOUR will be exported from the Rostov port, since the world market for it is promising and extensive.”
Recall that at the end of last year, the volume of exports from the Rostov region in monetary terms in actual prices is more than 6.8 billion dollars (by 2020 + 16.1%), while the planned indicator for the national project "Export of agricultural products" is 5.4 billion dollars.
