The Chelyabinsk region adequately presented its agro-industrial complex at the 23rd Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn". October 2021 was marked for the Southern Urals by 113 medals of the main agricultural holiday of the country, of this number of awards, most of all are gold medals - 76, 30 silver medals, 7 bronze ones.

The variety of nominations in which the South Ural enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, the scientific and educational community, rural areas distinguished themselves, speaks of the serious attention paid by the regional government to support this sector of the economy. 51 participants of the agricultural exhibition received awards in 12 areas. The Chelyabinsk region, in turn, as a region with a developed, innovative agro-industrial complex and an active participant in the event, received the Grand Prix of the exhibition.

Gold medals for achieving high performance in the development of breeding and commercial animal husbandry were received by 8 well-known enterprises of the South Urals, which presented the results of their work at the exhibition: SEC Koelginskoye named after I.N. Shundeev, JSC Breeding Plant RUSSIA, SEC Podovinnoye, LLC Agrofirma "Kalininskaya", LLC "Sovkhoz Bredinsky", the peasant farm "Karsakbaev K.B.", LLC "Preduralye", SHPK "Chernovskoy".

Most of the companies, taking into account the restrictions associated with the anti-epidemic situation, took part in the exhibition in absentia, sending information materials, photographs, product samples to the competition jury. South Ural participants of the "Golden Autumn" won awards in the competitions "For the production of high-quality feed and feed additives", "The best agricultural producer operating on reclaimed lands", "For the successful implementation of innovations in agriculture", "For achieving high performance in the cultivation of crop products and improving soil fertility”, “For the creation of new varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops”, “Creation and production of highly efficient agricultural equipment and the introduction of progressive resource-saving technologies”,

Thus, in the nomination "Best Municipal Practice for the Integrated Development of Rural Settlements", the administration of the Buranny rural settlement of the Agapovsky municipal district of the Chelyabinsk region was awarded a bronze medal. In the settlements of this municipality, the administration organized the construction of a gas pipeline, landscaping, repair of roads, sports facilities, water supply systems, social institutions, and street lighting. In the nomination “Mentoring as an effective form of vocational guidance for schoolchildren in the field of additional agroecological education”, a bronze medal was awarded to secondary school No. "Hydroponics" as an innovative method of growing cultivated plants" and "Aquaponics" system as an innovative method of growing cultivated plants".
The bronze medal for the best entrepreneurial initiative in the agro-industrial complex was awarded to Dmitry Trofimov, HEAD of the K(F)X, and among the best agricultural consumer cooperatives, the silver medal was awarded to Burenka SSPK.

Two developments by scientists of the South Ural State Agrarian University were awarded with silver medals of the Golden Autumn 2021: an innovative drying technology in the process of obtaining organic products of agricultural and wild-growing raw materials (developed by Vitaly Popov and his team) and the development of new pharmacological agents and the introduction of an effective system for the prevention of heat and vaccinal stresses of chickens and chickens in the conditions of industrial poultry farming (development by Alevtin Miftahutdinov and his team).

“These two developments are the result of many years of scientific research, they are already used in production by South Ural and other Russian agricultural producers. In the case of a dryer, it can be used when harvesting seeds from cereals to lawn grasses. The installation is environmentally friendly and economical. And our specialists can make a dryer of any size, both for summer residents and for large enterprises. The second development is devoted to a series of pharmacological agents that relieve heat and vaccine stress in chickens, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency of poultry farms, increase weight gain and livestock safety. The line of preparations of our scientists is successfully used in the work of large poultry farms in Russia,” said Natalya Nizamutdinova, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at SUSU, about innovations.

Well-deserved awards for scientific developments were also received by the Chelyabinsk Research Institute of Agriculture and the South Ural Research Institute of Horticulture and Potato Growing - a branch of the Urfa Research Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Traditionally, most medals were awarded for the production of high-quality food products - 71 awards, of which 51 are gold, 18 are silver and 2 are bronze.

The largest number of gold medals - 12 - was awarded to Makfa Joint-Stock Company for pasta and oatmeal, corn, rice, buckwheat, flaxseed, spelt FLOUR under the trademarks Makfa and Livingood.

Chelyabinskaya Poultry Farm JSC received 7 gold medals for various categories of chicken eggs and egg melange of the Chepfa and Three layers trademarks.

Resurs LLC won three gold medals for instant oatmeal with strawberries and MILK, a mixture of rice and millet Druzhba, and grain flakes 5 cereals of the Uvelka trademark.

The award of the exhibition was received by: "Ural gingerbread" with apricot filling, which the company's specialists recreated according to old recipes and are now planning mass production and retail sale of this sweet; sweets "Chelyabinsk", glazed with chocolate icing with filling between the layers of wafers.
