The delegation of the Vologda region took part in the first All-Russian Farmers Forum

The forum brought together about a thousand representatives of small agribusiness from all over the country and became one of the key business events of the Day of Agriculture at the RUSSIA exhibition and forum. The event was organized by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture together with the People's Farmer Association.
The forum was organized for a comprehensive discussion of topics relevant to farmers - improving state support measures, developing agricultural cooperation, effective marketing of products, and improving the business climate in the agro-industrial complex. A delegation from the Vologda region also attended the forum.
“The acting Governor of the region, Georgy Filimonov, pays special attention to the development of farming in the Vologda region. On his instructions, this year a regional “School of Farmers” is being created, where students will be able to gain knowledge in farming: from creating it from scratch to promoting products. In addition, this year, on behalf of the HEAD of the region, a new measure of state support is provided - the provision of grants to peasant farms for the processing of products of their own production (MILK, MEAT), as well as an increase in the total amount of funding for the provision of the Agrostartup grant at the expense of regional funds,” said the head of the Department agriculture and food resources of the region Sergei Poromonov.
Vologda farmers were interested in the new procedure for subsidizing small forms, the EXPORT of agricultural products to friendly countries, the status of processors of industrial potato varieties, the construction of housing for hire to attract specialists to the village and the possibility of building hotels within the framework of the Agrotourism grant.
