Agrarians of Transbaikalia in 2023 plan to raise 48 thousand hectares of fallow lands

In 2023, the farms of Transbaikalia intend to introduce at least 48 thousand hectares of unused arable land into agricultural circulation, said Denis Bochkarev, HEAD of the regional agrarian department.
“The Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA held a competition for the selection of land reclamation projects in order to provide state support to the regions for holding cultural and technical events. The list of recipients of the subsidy under the program for the effective involvement in the circulation of agricultural land in 2023 includes 14 farms from the Trans-Baikal Territory. According to the terms of the competition, these organizations must undertake obligations to put into circulation more than 48 thousand hectares of fallow farmland. The implementation of the plan will allow them to receive compensation from the federal budget in the amount of 50% of the costs incurred during field work,” the minister said.
it should be noted that this year 21.4 thousand hectares of unused arable land will be put into agricultural circulation in Transbaikalia. To date, cultural and technical activities have been completed on an area of 18.1 thousand hectares, or 84% of the plan. Until November, all work on the rise of fallow lands will be completed.
