All sanctions of the G7 countries provide for exceptions for the supply of Russian food and agricultural products to the world market. This is stated in a joint statement by the Foreign Ministries of the countries participating in the G7.
The main attention at the meeting was paid to "Russia's guilt in the aggravation of the global food crisis." The G7 foreign ministers agreed that Russia's military operation in Ukraine "exacerbates food insecurity" by blocking the Black Sea, shelling granaries and ports, and damaging Ukraine's agricultural infrastructure.
Moscow has repeatedly denied accusations of blocking Ukrainian ports.
The foreign ministers of the G7 countries called for "removing the blocking of Ukrainian Black Sea ports for food exports."
"They expressed their support for the UN's efforts to urgently reopen the Black Sea route for grain exports and the European Commission's Action Plan for the Establishment of Ukraine-EU Solidarity Corridors to deliver grain by road, rail and barge to world markets," the statement reads.
The G7 includes the UK, Germany, Italy, CANADA, France, Japan and the United States . In 1995, the G7 format changed with the accession of Russia, but in 2014, Western countries refused to participate in the G8 work with Moscow.

In addition, the G7 countries welcomed the decision of the European Commission to grant Ukraine and Moldova the status of candidates for EU accession, as well as the "European perspective" of Georgia with the conditions for obtaining candidate status.
The G7 reiterated its continued support for Ukraine, including military and defense assistance, "for as long as necessary."
The G7 summit will be held in Germany on June 26-28. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the summit will discuss the consequences of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, including the possibility of a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
According to him, the world is facing a number of global challenges: the consequences of covid-19 , climate change and the conflict in Ukraine, which has led to food problems and a security crisis.
