
The United States will continue to impose sanctions against Belarus to support the opposition, according to a White House report on the meeting of US President's national security adviser Jake Sullivan with Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.

Sullivan during the meeting said that the administration of US President Joe Biden demands an international investigation into the events of May 23, the release of political prisoners, the start of a political dialogue with opposition representatives and the holding of elections under the supervision of the OSCE.
