The Foreign Ministry, in response to the ninth package of EU restrictions on Russia, banned the entry of a number of officials, deputies and major military commercial structures of the EU. This is stated in the telegram channel of the department.
The ban includes members of the leadership of the law enforcement agencies of the EU countries involved in the training of the Ukrainian military "as part of the EU mission to provide military assistance to Ukraine", and companies that produce and supply Ukraine with military equipment and weapons. In addition, the restrictions apply to citizens of EU member states who are seen "in systematic public anti-Russian rhetoric."
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the restrictions apply to individual members of the European Parliament, but their names are not given. The ninth package of EU sanctions in the department was called illegitimate.
The ministry also announced an aggressive anti-Russian line pursued by the European Parliament, which approved the resolution “On Recognizing the Russian Federation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism” (the document is not legally binding and is advisory in nature).
Russia has repeatedly criticized Western military support for Kiev. The Kremlin said that this would not interfere with the goals of the special operation, and also expressed the opinion that the supply of weapons would bring Ukraine "more suffering."
