Bolivia has submitted a request to EXPORT llama MEAT to RUSSIA, Javier Suarez , DIRECTOR of the national service for phytosanitary control and food safety, told RIA Novosti .
According to him, representatives of Bolivia met with the Russian delegation and agreed to continue exporting beef and begin supplying camelid meat.
“Lama meat in our country is of high quality and has little cholesterol. We made a request, which was accepted by Russia [for consideration],” Suarez said.

At the end of 2023, Belarus became the leader in meat exports to Russia. The country supplied 293 thousand tons of products - half of all imported meat. Brazil , which sold 111 thousand tons of products to Russia, Paraguay and Argentina - 42 thousand tons each, as well as CHINA - 19 thousand tons, were also among the leaders.
