US President Joe Biden continues to suffer from a cough due to the CORONAVIRUS he was diagnosed with, but his HEALTH is improving, said the HEAD of state's attending physician Kevin O'Connor. The medical report was published on the White House website.
"He still experiences a mild unproductivecough and hoarseness, but symptoms continue to improve," the letter said.
O'Connor stressed that Biden continues to perform all of his presidential duties. His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain "absolutely normal," and his lungs are clear, the head of state's physician noted.
He added that the president is being treated with Paxlovid, a drug developed by Pfizer. Biden “continues to tolerate the treatment well and will continue to take Paxlovid,” the DOCTOR said.
On July 18, Biden tested positive for coronavirus . The White House noted that the president would return to Delaware (where the head of state has a home), where he would self-isolate and carry out all of his duties in full.
Biden's physician said he was admitted on the afternoon of July 17 with symptoms of an upper respiratory illness. In particular, the president had a runny nose and a non-productive cough, as well as general weakness.
This is not the first time Biden has tested positive for coronavirus. He was first diagnosed with the disease in July 2022.
