Anti-Covid "morning filters" are again organized in schools of Karelia

In Karelia, in educational institutions from the beginning of the new academic year, due to the risk of the spread of CORONAVIRUS infection, daily “morning filters” will be organized again at the entrance to the building with mandatory thermometry. This was announced yesterday by the regional Rospotrebnadzor. Also, the disinfection regime should be strengthened in schools, which includes cleaning with the use of disinfectants, the availability of antiseptics for hand treatment and the use of air disinfection devices.

According to the ministry, in the new 2022-2023 academic year, 195 educational organizations are planned to work on the territory of the republic. Of these, 18 are undergoing major renovations to be completed by the start of the school year.

Rospotrebnadzor, together with the Russian Ministry of Education, developed new sanitary rules for schools before the start of the 2020-2021 academic year. At the same time, in most regions, “morning filters” in schools were introduced by the relevant orders of local education authorities starting from February-March 2020.

Earlier, due to an increase in the number of coronavirus infections, the republican Rospotrebnadzor recommended wearing protective masks in crowded places, medical facilities and public transport. Rospotrebnadzor of the Russian Federation, in turn, sent relevant letters to the regions on the introduction of a recommendatory regime for wearing masks in regions where the weekly covid incidence rate exceeds 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

As of August 17, 33,106 new cases of covid-19 have been detected in the Russian Federation . The number of hospitalizations per day was 3,167 people. An increase in the number of hospitalizations was noted in 39 subjects. In Karelia, according to the stopcoronavirus.rf portal, 118 cases were recorded per day. As noted at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, there is no need to return federal coronavirus restrictions due to changes in the number of severe cases and hospitalizations.
