In Russia, for the first time, almost 41 thousand cases of COVID infection were detected per day

Over the past 24 hours, 40,993 cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been detected in RUSSIA, according to the operational headquarters. This is a new high since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of cases for all time has exceeded 8.5 million people.

New cases have been registered in all regions of the country.  Thus, 7603 infected people were detected in Moscow,  3597 in St. Petersburg , and 2737 in the Moscow region. In addition, the largest number of infected people is in Samara (1458), Nizhny Novgorod (799), Voronezh (799) regions and in the Crimea (712) .

The incidence in the country has been growing since the beginning of autumn. On October 28, for the first time during the pandemic, the daily number of infected people exceeded 40 thousand people. The day before, October 30, the operational headquarters reported 40.2 thousand infected.

In addition, over the past day, according to the headquarters, 1,158 people with covid-19 died in Russia , the total number of deaths was 238,538. In Moscow, 94 infected people died per day, in St. Petersburg - 82, in the Moscow region - 43. More than 30 deaths were also registered in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, Bashkiria, Rostov, Sverdlovsk regions and in the Perm region.
