Latvian Minister of Culture Nauris Puntulis proposed to ban more than 20 Russian artists from entering the republic because of their position on Russia's special operation in Ukraine, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture.

Puntulis, in his appeal to the Foreign Ministry, speaks about the artists who performed at a concert in Moscow on March 18 on the occasion of the annexation of Crimea.

According to the HEAD of the Ministry of Culture, the list of undesirable persons should include singer Polina Gagarina, the lead singer of the pop group "Hands Up!" Sergei Zhukov, hip-hop artist Timur Yunusov (Timati), leader of the Lyube group Nikolai Rastorguev and its members, singers Natalya Podolskaya, Victoria Daineko, actors Vladimir Mashkov Dmitry Pevtsov, DIRECTOR Nikita Mikhalkov, actress Ilze Liepa, singer Vika Tsyganova, singer Stas Mikhailov and others.
