In Abkhazia, a COVID-hospital patient dies after a power surge

In Abkhazia, after a power surge in the intensive care unit of a hospital, one patient died, and three more people are in serious condition. This was announced by the HEAD of the Ministry of HEALTH of the unrecognized republic, Eduard Butba, the press service of the ministry reports.
“In the Gudauta covid hospital, two resuscitation wards were de-energized due to a power surge. <...> After the provision of resuscitation measures, which were unsuccessful, the patient [born in 1957] died, three patients were in serious condition,” the minister said.

Earlier in Vladikavkaz, there was an accident in the clinical emergency hospital, where an oxygen pipe burst. Nine patients were killed in the incident. They were in critical condition in intensive care on a ventilator. There were 71 people in the intensive care unit at the time of the accident.
