Rospotrebnadzor: an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 was registered in the region

The number of CORONAVIRUS cases is growing in the Kaliningrad region. This is reported by Rospotrebnadzor.

Last week, the department's specialists recorded 314 cases of coronavirus infection, which is 12.6% more than the previous figure.

it is noted that in 96.8% of Kaliningraders the disease proceeded in the form of ARI, in 1% - in the form of pneumonia. In 2.2% of cases, the virus was detected without symptoms (self-examination; examination of contacts; examination before hospitalization, etc.)

The number of diseases among children under 18 increased to 12.1%, the increase is observed mainly in schoolchildren aged 7-14 and adolescents aged 15-17.

The number of infections in adults in all groups, with the exception of those over 65 years old, increased by 7.6%. Nevertheless, it is in this age group that the incidence remains the highest (53.4 per 100 thousand), experts say.

As RBC Kaliningrad wrote, the regional Rospotrebnadzor recommends that people wear masks in transport, public places, and enclosed spaces. This is especially true for the elderly and people with chronic diseases.
