More than 82,000 people with COVID-19 have recovered on the Don since the beginning of the pandemic

In the Rostov region, over the entire observation period, more than 82 thousand people who became infected with coronavirus recovered, over the past day - 170 patients. Also, 200 new cases of COVID-19 infection were registered , this follows from the data published by the Stopcoronavirus.rf portal.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the number of confirmed coronavirus infected in the Rostov region on the morning of May 18 reached 91,735 on a cumulative total, and 82,187 recovered.

Also, 16 patients with COVID-19 died in the past day. Thus, for the entire period, 4253 people became victims of coronavirus in the region.

“To date, 379,530 people have been vaccinated against a new coronavirus infection, 6,580 per day. 274,487 people have completed vaccination (double administration of the vaccine), 7,594 per day,” the report says.

Recall that earlier the chief sanitary doctor of the Rostov region Evgeny Kovalev spoke in favor of maintaining restrictive measures in the region. On the May holidays on the Don, coronavirus restrictions were also not relaxed. Moreover, most of the mass events were canceled during this period.
